The Costa Rica Obata Honey coffee is an exceptionally flavorful brew, showcasing a wide range of tastes and complexities.  As a medium-dark roast, it impresses with deep, sweet undertones of molasses and semisweet chocolate. Undoubtedly, it's a delightful and adaptable coffee, whether enjoyed on its own as a complex pour-over or as a sweet, caramelized espresso shot harmoniously blended with milk.

Alberto Guardia initiated coffee cultivation at Hacienda Sonora in the 1970s, situated at the base of Costa Rica's Poás Volcano. The 100-hectare farm is renowned for quality microlots, including this honey-processed Obata variety. Sonora prioritizes environmental sustainability, relying on renewable energy and water-saving techniques. Additionally, the estate offers free accommodations to workers and their families.

A Bold and Unique Brew

This toasty brew is semi-sweet with a heavy toasted nut flavor. The body is bold, but not aggressive, rather it is smoothly complex. It's perfect for a long winter with a book or snowed in and working from home!

After using the Expresso blend for quite a while and really liking it, Kim suggested trying this new Obata Honey. I really like this. It is smooth and with just a soft sweetness that’s perfect for my morning coffee.
