The Costa Rica Obata Honey coffee is an exceptionally flavorful brew, showcasing a wide range of tastes and complexities. Alberto Guardia initiated coffee cultivation at Hacienda Sonora in the 1970s, situated at the base of Costa Rica's Poás Volcano. The 100-hectare farm is renowned for quality microlots, including this honey-processed Obata variety. Sonora prioritizes environmental sustainability, relying on renewable energy and water-saving techniques. Additionally, the estate offers free accommodations to workers and their families.
